Different Boy's Boot Styles

Buying the right boots for your son is difficult if you do not know what type of boots to look for. There are many different kinds on the market today. Check out these four different boy's boot styles for some guidance. There are many more styles out there, but most fall into one of these four categories.

Hiking and work boots

For boys, hiking and work boots are very similar. They are usually waterproof and made of materials like leather and nylon. They lace up and come up just past the ankle, which adds stability and comfort. These boots usually have a stiff sole and sometimes have steel toes for more protection.

Riding boots

Riding boots and cowboy boots are made for boys that work outdoors in fields and on ranches. They are a bit taller than hiking boots and have a trimmer style. They are not so great for walking long distances, but offer good protection on the ground.

Rubber boots

Rain boots are common for younger boys. They are usually made from rubber and their main purpose is to keep the feet dry. They are not usually intended to look fashionable.

Snow boots

This is the type of boots your boy needs for winter. These come in many styles, all of which feature insulation. Look for a waterproof pair if you can, since this helps keep his feet dry when the snow starts to melt.

There are so many types of boys boots. In most circumstances, one of these four types does the trick. Just make sure he tries them on before you buy them as fit is very important.
